Qualifications & background

Who I am
I am a self-employed translator with high academic qualifications and several years of experience working for political organizations, the former Norwegian Trade Council, other translation agencies, and the education sector, where I continue to work part-time.

Having grown up bilingually and studied and worked in Britain and Norway, I translate into both English and Norwegian. I passed the examination for government-authorized translators at NHH, the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in 2004.

Who I work with
When required, I employ other freelance translators for large projects, or collaborate with other translators or professionals from my network: engineers, health workers, economists, solicitors and  IT specialists to name a few.

What I believe in
As a translator and editor, I believe in accurate work, thorough proof-reading, and consulting with the client where appropriate in order to ensure high quality work.
